IT is indeed necessary to look on the bright side (“On the brighter side of empty streets”, Sunday Star, April 5; online at bit.ly/star_streets) while dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak. The necessary movement control order to slow the spread of the virus has many experts and people understandably worried about the impact of the crisis on mental health.
It may do us some good to adopt the STREAM framework for well-being activities developed at Flinders University, Australia. The STREAM strategy is designed to remind those of us who are isolated of the mental health and resilience support necessary during these times.
