Hold the events for health’s sake

THE Arts, Live Festivals and Events Association (Alife) is urging all of its members and industry players to scale back on all events in March and April or proceed with the highest caution to ensure public health and safety. The impact of Covid-19 is felt by everyone, particularly in the tourism, business and live events industry which is worth RM50bil in Malaysia.

The first half of the year looks glum for the industry. However, the health and safety of the public is of utmost importance and thus we are taking the proactive stance to advocate for industry players to bite the bullet and cancel or postpone events in March and April. If they are to proceed, scale down and take extra measures to ensure public health and safety.
