IT was indeed a sad day on Monday when doom and gloom descended on us Malaysians with a vengeance never seen before. Malaysians woke up with fear, suspicion and worry and in complete disarray over what was to become of their country on Monday morning.
Many wage earners like me turned up for work, sleep-walking into our workplace after a stream of unexpected twists and turns the night before. The entire day was spent on speculation and helplessly watching the rumour mill. Most of us were guilty of spending an entire day being unproductive at work, waiting in anticipation for the worst of our fears to be quelled.
