At the end of the day – art is so important

AHMAD Fuad Osman’s art exhibition at the National Art Gallery is ironically titled At the End of the Day Even Art is Not Important. But the recent events that transpired, when artworks were removed from, and then reinstated in, the exhibition makes it very important indeed.

We are living through a pivotal moment in the scrutiny of the management of our public institutions with a public call for accountability – that which is required to transform these institutions so that they can lead and enhance.
