Optimise use of facilities for sports


WE have spent tens of millions of ringgit on building sports facilities, particularly for the 1998 Commonwealth Games. It is therefore inconceivable that these facilities would end up as white elephants.

The former and present Youth and Sports Ministers have mooted ideas for turning the Bukit Jalil Sports Complex into a sports city for locals and tourists alike. State exco members for sports also have similar ideas for their respective jurisdictions, but at the end of the day, no action is taken.
