Very little fanfare for Tokyo 2020

A TIMER on the Olympic Council of Malaysia’s website shows 170 days till the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games begins.Four years ago in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Malaysia gained four silver medals (badminton and diving) and one bronze (track cycling). This year, Malaysia’s medal prospects will also include archery with at least one athlete, Khairul Anuar Mohd, competing in the recurve individual event.

The race for the Tokyo BWF Olympic Qualification ends in April and Malaysia should have representatives in all categories except women’s singles by then.
