Shocking misuse of personal information

WE were walking along Jalan Tun HS Lee in Kuala Lumpur recently when we came across three men surrounding another sitting on a chair and looking very ill. It seems the seated man had fainted and the three men were trying to help him. Without hesitation, I dialled 999 and asked for an ambulance.

The operator asked a few questions about the situation and the man’s condition. While I understand this is standard procedure to identify prank calls, I started to feel a little annoyed as the sick man was now looking sicker and showed less response.
