THE Department of Statistics has just released the latest fertility rate for Malaysia, and it is 1.8 babies per woman aged between 15 and 49 years old for the year 2018.
This is an all-time low for Malaysia’s fertility rate, which has been dipping below the replacement level of 2.1 since 2013.
