THE Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih 2.0) welcomes the announcement made by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law), Datuk Liew Vui Keong, that the Parliamentary Special Select Committee (PSC) for Election is formed after the motion passed in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday along with the other three PSCs, namely PSCs on Human Rights and Constitutional Affairs; International Relations and Trade; and Science, Innovation and Environment (“Four new Parliament Special Select Committees formed”, The Star, Oct 17; online at bit.ly/star_select).
We would like to laud the effort of Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof in spearheading this important Parliamen-tary reform initiative.
