THE revamp of the medical examination for all drivers should be lauded. We want fit drivers on the road to reduce accidents and ultimately morbidity and mortality.
It’s time to retire the old system which was an examination that only confirmed a driver had all four limbs intact (although I have seen people with only three intact limbs trying to get their papers signed).
