Don’t spread ignorance about animals and pet ownership

I WISH to express my disappointment at a video posted on social media by a local radio station recently. The post is about three people deciding to swap their pets – a bird, cat and dog – over the weekend as a challenge to see how they fare with each animal. Each appears to have little or no experience with the new animal he or she was taking in.

What is the station trying to do? Encourage Malaysians into thinking that anyone can own a pet with the flimsiest of reasons? What about the stress the pets would experience dealing with strange people in scary new surroundings?
