MALAYSIA has been reported to be going through an integrity crisis. The financial scandals involving government companies/agencies such as 1Malaysia Development Berhad, Lembaga Tabung Haji and the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) are worrying indicators of the state of integrity among corporate leaders in the country.
In July this year, it was reported that a government-linked company was being investigated for possible irregularities with regards to a major acquisition.
