THE Teaching And Learning of Science and Mathematics in English policy, better known as PPSMI, was introduced in 2003. That was 16 years ago and yet there are still claims that students cannot speak Communication English and we do not have teachers to teach the subjects concerned.

I am from a generation who was not exposed to Bahasa Malaysia until Primary One. It was a brand new language for many of my fellow pupils too.
