REFERRING to the report “Penang eager to return plastic waste” (The Star, July 3), there has been much talk on this topic and, yes, some containers are already on the way back.

Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin has repeatedly said that plastic waste that cannot be recycled would be sent back to exporting countries. She even said that she wanted to send a clear message to the developed countries that export the plastic to Malaysia.
