AS a recently retired secondary schoolteacher who was also a discipline teacher, it is very disappointing to note that teachers entrusted to handle discipline turn out to be bullies when correcting misbehaving students.
Although all teachers are expected to maintain discipline, sometimes a school will appoint one as a discipline teacher speficially. One of the fundamental characteristics of discipline teachers is that they must have maturity of thought and emotions. They must not let emotions take control of them or crack under pressure.
