I REFER to the letter “Yes, the grass is really greener elsewhere” (The Star, June 19). I agree with the writer to a certain extent as I have been to Sydney a number of times, staying for as long as two months per trip.
Generally speaking, cashiers in Sydney are very polite and helpful, especially the Caucasian ones. But I have also encountered unfriendly cashiers who, sadly, were Asians.
