I WAS touched by the sensitivity and care shown by the Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman towards our badminton ace Datuk Lee Chong Wei, “Saddiq: Stop speculating on Chong Wei’s future” (The Star Online at

). Sadly, this caring nature does not exist in all government agencies.

My friend who was on his deathbed with liver cancer was asked by his CEO (in a government-linked company) to rationalise his leave via a phone call. We were both shocked by this insensitivity.
