IT has been a little over a year since Pakatan Harapan took the reins of government, and amid all the brouhaha over how new Malaysia has been doing, I must credit it for granting both the press and the people greater freedom of expression. It is with this new-found freedom that we are able to publicly evaluate how the new ministers are doing. One particular minister seems to crop up fairly often, Dr Maszlee Malik.
From my observations and conversations, it seems that opinions of him are overwhelmingly polarised. Some parents I have spoken to have such a low opinion of Maszlee that it seems he can never do any good. Yet others seem to think that he is the greatest blessing to the system. Is one a truth and the other a lie, or is it somewhere in between?
