I REFER to the report “Debate report, govt urged” (The Star, April 20; online at bit.ly/star_report). I am sure that many Malaysians will concur with the call by the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) for the Pakatan Harapan administration to honour its election manifesto by allowing its 2018 annual report to be debated in Parliament in due course.

Such an initiative by the current government will be in keeping with the laudable and meaningful steps that it has embarked upon in making our country’s polity more democratic, transparent and participatory.
