I REFER to the report “Almost all bosses adhering to RM$1,100 minimum wage” (The Star, April 10). This is good not just for workers on the lowest pay spectrum of our workforce but also in terms of trying to reduce our economic gap.

The March 2018 World Bank report on Malaysia noted that inequality in this country remains high relative to other East Asian countries.
