Honing the skills of speaking up from young

I TOTALLY agree with the views expressed by Ahmad Mazli Muhammad in his letter “Building characters of good speakers” (The Star, April 2).

Being an avid sports fan, I am awed by the way footballers in the English Premier League speak during interviews after a match. They answer so naturally and spontaneously when questions are put forward to them. The victor and the vanquished in a major tennis tournament also give speeches to their spectators with ease. It is very pleasant to hear them speaking.
