Think of those without tech skills

IN this digital age, most transactions are done online, in line with other countries’ practices. How-ever, we sometimes forget that elderly people can be slow to catch up with technology, what more those who are physically disabled with poor eyesight or unsteady hands. They just cannot cope with using technology to deal with everyday life requirements such as paying utility bills which are sent digitally. It’s worse if they live without younger people around to assist them.

In view of this, it would be a noble gesture if the originators of bills and statements continue for some time more to issue those bills/statements as hard copy via post to this group, who presently make up about 7% of Malaysians, I believe. Technology should be implemented at a more gradual pace without stopping conventional practices too suddenly.
