WORLD Water Day, on March 22 every year, is marked to highlight the importance of freshwater resources and their sustainable management. It has been observed since 1993.

This year’s theme, “Leaving No One Behind”, is based on the target of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal No. 6 to ensure the availability and sustainability of clean water for everyone by 2030.
