I REFER to the letter “Discounts should be given to all buyers” (The Star, March 5). I am a buyer of PR1MA’s Residensi Jalan Jubilee, and I too am shocked by the discounts given at the property fair.
PR1MA provides homes of between RM100,000 and
RM400,000. Unlike other projects, though, Residensi Jalan Jubilee was priced between RM360,000 and RM530,000, perhaps because of its convenient location in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. A 10% discount is RM44,000 for the unit I bought – that’s at least four years of savings.
This is unfair to us earlier buyers who have waited since 2015 for completion next month. I would like to directly appeal to Zuraida Kamaruddin, the Housing and Local Government Minister, to intervene on behalf of us faithful PR1MA home buyers so that we too may enjoy the discount.
