Helplessness of being stateless


READING the letter “Don’t leave stateless people hanging” (The Star, Jan 15), I empathised with the writer and felt compelled to share my experience in the same issue.

There is another group who needs their voices to be heard – parents who adopt stateless children. A thick cloud of uncertainty looms over the status of their adopted child, and the situation is leaving them in limbo.
