Kindness of strangers

Last Wednesday, I fell right in the midst of flowing midday traffic. My friend tried to help but couldn’t as I had broken my ankle. Two men hoisted me up to the entrance of a nearby mall while my friend got the car from the parking lot.

When my friend arrived with the car, a security guard asked me if I minded being carried. I said “No”, and he scooped me up in his arms and took me to the car. Another man brought me a bottle of water.
