Seeing a summons for what it is

I REFER to the report “Anwar has 57 unpaid summonses totalling over RM8k, claims social activist” (TheStarOnline, Oct 12). According to social activist Mujahidin Zulkiffli, these summonses go back to February 1999, including the period when Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was in jail.

They were for offences such as speeding, obstruction of traffic and running through the red light.
