REFERRING to “18 or 21 – let’s ‘vote’ on the voting age” (Sunday Star, Aug 5), the topic merits strong debate and consideration. In neighbouring Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia and even Iran and India, the voting age is 18.

Take note too that in Malaysia, the age of majority is 18 years old and individuals at this age are legally considered as adults.
