THE season for annual general meetings (AGM) is now on. Free gifts and food will be distributed to shareholders and proxies who register to attend these meetings.
The free gifts are generally of no use since most people already have them. It is better to give cash vouchers for food items or for shopping at supermarkets so that people can choose what they want. These are hard times and any additional cash is welcome. Less trash would be created as well.
