Education is more than just scoring As

READING the report on the student who jumped to her death recently was really heartbreaking. It was reported that the student, who had scored 10As in her SPM, could not deal with the pressure of excelling in her studies.

Sadly, I have observed that young children today are being subjected to numerous tuition and given too much homework that they are exhausted at the end of the day, every day. As such, many do not have time to participate in extracurricular activities that would allow them to relax. Education must allow children to enjoy going to school not just to acquire academic skills but also to socialise with their peers.
