Questioning the ban on movie Padmaavat

ON Friday last week, I purchased tickets to watch the latest Hindi movie Padmaavat with my family at a cinema near my house. I was surprised and angry when screening of the movie was cancelled at the last minute. Then I was told it has been banned.

Can the Film Censorship Board (LPF) kindly inform the general public why the movie was banned? What was so offensive about the movie that it did not meet LPF guidelines, or is the ban based on the personal views of its members?
