CLAIMS made by certain parties that only one particular race had battled the communists are not only misleading but have also hurt the feelings of non-Malay veterans who served in the Armed Forces and police.

For those who care to learn about the history of our country, such claims are historically and factually wrong since the non-Malays, inclu­ding the Chinese, Indians, Ibans and Sikhs, also fought against the communist insurgents.
