WITH Thaipusam around the corner, I wish to draw the attention of the authorities to the tremendous noise levels coming through loudspeakers during this festival.
Please note that this is not a letter of complaint but an appeal to the authorities to take action against those who do not follow the guidelines on permissible sound levels, causing health problems and annoyance to the local residents.
