IT is very heartening to hear that the family of the late Tan Sri Yeoh Tiong Lay has pledged to donate RM8mil to various charities and educational organisations in honour of the late business magnate’s legacy. As related in the letter “Yeoh beneficiary paying it forward” (The Star, Oct 23), Yeoh was very generous in helping other people.
I have seen many rich people giving away the ang pau they received during wedding receptions to charity. I have also seen many rich people give away condolence money to charity.
