Catch those who run a red light in the act


AFTER the shocking accident in April this year in Pulau Tikus, Penang, in which a woman who was walking on the pedestrian crossing was killed by a motorcyclist who had beaten the red light, another similar accident has occurred in Penang, “Accountant loses teeth in hit-and-run accident” (The Star, Sept 28).

I had a similar experience at the pedestrian crossing near the KTM train station in Jalan Bukit, Kajang, recently. When the lights turned red, three cars did not stop.
