Film censors are doing a good job fine job

I REFER to the letter “Censors are sleeping on the job” (The Star, Sept 20). Films shown on TV are rated U, P13 and 18 according to suitability of content and the onus is on the parents to ensure that their children are watching programmes suitable for their age group. Why blame the censors? The film has been rated and is being shown at an appropriate time slot.

In Malaysia, there is a growing trend for a few prudes to decide what is best for the majority in the country.
