Tobacco convention bans sale of kiddie packs


THE Malaysian Council for Tobacco Control (MCTC) is a non-governmental organisation which aims to consolidate and coordinate tobacco control activities such as advocacy, engagement with the Government on the formulation of policies and legislation, and empowerment of civil society through education, promotion and protection of the health, safety and welfare of citizens at large.

Reports have recently appeared in the media on the possibility of reversing the current status of kiddie packs, which had been banned under Section 16, Control of Tobacco Product Regulations 2004 in accordance with the recommendations of the WHO Framework Convention On Tobacco Control (FCTC).
