THERE are strong concerns, and rightly too, over young school pupils being overloaded with more homework and heavier school bags, “Lighten their load” (The Star, July 23).

Homework for homework’s sake is so outdated. If homework does not add to kids’ learning and knowledge, it’s best to replace it with healthy and active social sports and play activities. Healthy kids are happy kids.
