Investigate source of leptospirosis infection

THE outcome of the forensic investigation on Mohamad Thaqif Amin Mohd Gaddafi, 11 – who died on April 26 after allegedly being abused at a tahfiz (religious) boarding school – indicates the cause of death as leptospirosis infection (a disease caused by rat urine).

So it is now very important for the relevant authorities, namely the police and the Health Department, to immediately conduct a thorough investigation on the matter, especially on how the victim contracted the disease in the first place.
