KTM, please install air-con units at departure area

ON Monday, June 5, I returned to Kuala Lumpur by the ETS train departing Ipoh at 10.30am. I arrived at the station around 10am and there were many people in the departure area. Being a hot day, it was very hot and stuffy and I was shocked to see there were only some small rotating fans on the wall to keep the area cool. After a few minutes, I was so uncomfortable I went outside and waited near the designated taxi stand. Many others were waiting there too.

Why has KTM not installed a few air conditioners in the departure area? With the popularity of the ETS trains, I am sure KTM can afford the minimal expenditure it would entail to install them. Many of the passengers probably said a silent prayer when we were finally allowed to enter the air-conditioned coaches at 10.20am. We deserve better treatment KTM.
