Maintain parks the green way maintenance

ON Feb 17, I was fortunate to revisit the Ulu Bendul Recreational Forest. The last time my family and I were there was more than 20 years ago when our children were still young. The place now has a lot of hardscape features which I felt did not blend with the forest scenery. Luckily, though, this is mainly at the entrance to the park. Just after the entrance, there is a river which is the main feature of the park and is still clean and inviting. Thankfully, the park was reasonably clean too.

However, while walking into the forest towards the camping site, we saw a worker spraying weed killer on some flowering weeds (Ageratum conyzoides, which is known for its medicinal properties and also used as a natural pesticide) that were growing abundantly and which actually enhanced the beauty of the forest and foot path. These were just about a foot tall and their presence did not make the park look messy at all.
