Religion calls for the abolition of privileges


I COULDN’T agree more with the views of Senior Citizen of Malaysia in the letter “Paradigm shift or it’s status quo” (The Star, Feb 18).

He correctly pointed out that democracy is a majority game and therein lies one of its greatest flaws. It means the majority has the right to impose its will on the minority especially if its representation is sufficiently large in Parliament, Congress, etc.
