I RECENTLY asked for a credit card chargeback on a transaction after the merchant did not provide the service. However, my credit card’s issuing bank said it was not their responsibility and told me to pursue the matter directly with the merchant.
I know that Mastercard and Visa have an international policy whereby if a merchant does not fulfil its obligations, the customer can request for a chargeback if the merchant refuses to refund the customer.
