REFERRING to the letter “Docs face uncertain livelihood” (The Star, Jan 24), I am surprised at the writer’s reluctance to accept the general practitioner’s (GP) fee of RM25 per consultation as dictated by current market forces. It is quite difficult to go against market forces.
Not long ago, I consulted a specialist to seek a more informed opinion on a persistent problem, and he charged me RM330 for a 10-minute consultation.
