Medicines must be kept out of reach of the children

I REFER to the report on the four-year-old who died after ingesting medicine to treat high blood pressure which belonged to his grandmother, “Boy dies after taking BP med” (The Star, Nov 22).

This tragic incident is a reminder of the dangers of taking the wrong medicine especially by children and the importance for parents to keep medicines in the proper place to prevent cases like this from happening.
