Get in the records for the right reasons

REFERRING to the news about a mall in Kuching dumping a gigantic bowl of Sarawak laksa, I am appalled by the decision of the organisers to set such a wasteful national record in the first place.

The record-breaking effort was said to be equivalent to 1,500 bowls of Sarawak laksa. The incident shows lack of wisdom among the organisers and those who endorsed such an event. Although it would be good to score a record in something (such as sport), we should not be Number One for the wrong reasons.
