Home in on attitude of drivers and enforcement

I REFER to the report “Accident rate way too high” (The Star, Sept 2) on the Transport Minister’s statement pertaining to the increase in the number of road accidents despite the numerous road safety strategies introduced by the Government.

As a regular long distance driver (I drive an average of 250km daily), I appeal to the minister to consider homing in on two aspects to effectively tackle this problem – attitude of the drivers and firm enforcement.
