Big loss to academic community

I WAS shocked to hear of the sudden demise of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) vice-president, associate professor Dr Teh Chee Seng, “UTAR veep dies while cycling with students” (The Star, May 20).

Dr Teh was a well-known figure in the UTAR community. During my short stint as a lecturer there a few years ago, his name was ingrained in my mind as he was frequently mentioned during our Faculty of Arts and Social Science meetings.
