Need radio to give updates on floods in city

THE flash flood in Kuala Lumpur last Thursday was a nightmare for me. Traffic was at a standstill with over 100 vehicles submerged in front of Duta Vista. One of the key issues here is how traffic can be better managed in such a situation.

I was one of the “victims” in terms of being stuck in the already-bad traffic jam for more than an hour. It was 8:45pm when I left the Royal Selangor Club and was heading for Taman Tun Dr Ismail via Jalan Duta. There was already a jam along Jalan Parlimen but I was not aware of its seriousness.
