Re-brand homework

WHILE visiting a relative in Kulim over the Chinese New Year holiday, I asked my nephew what he had been doing during the one-week break. There was no hesitation or pause. It was a prompt response – I have tuition classes to attend and have lots of homework to complete!

While I understand the noble intention of teachers to give homework during the holidays, I also share the sentiments of students who feel that homework literally deprives them of having a meaningful and purposeful holiday.
